FAQs
Do I need experience to volunteer for trail work?
No experience is necessary! Our team will provide all the guidance needed to help maintain and build trails safely. All you need to do is bring sturdy shoes, gloves, water, and snacks. We’ll provide tools, direction, and often a meal to say thank you!
Can I complete trail work on my own?
Yes, if you’re working on an official trail that YSGTC maintains, you can complete work independently. Just make sure to log your efforts here.
Is my donation or membership tax-deductible?
Yes, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations to YSGTC are tax-deductible.
Why is my membership set to auto-renew?
We’re out here digging, clearing trails, and making sure that Bass Lake and Ely Mountain stays epic for everyone to enjoy. Auto-renewal lets us stay focused on what matters—keeping the trails open and expanding the network—while your support keeps powering the mission. You can cancel anytime, but sticking with us means we can keep doing what we do best!
How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel your membership, simply sign into your account here and click the stop sign under ‘Payment Plan.’ If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at southgatetrails@gmail.com—we’re happy to help!
