We will be working on the last part of Thunderstruck

Big day here, we will work on restoring and putting this trail back in service, all certified chain saw users need it!

We will be continuing our exciting work up at Ely mountain at Shaver Lake. Work for this round will consist of shaping and cleaning the newly cut sections of :Thunderstruck similar to what we did last work day. We will also be sending a crew to give the lower half of CBR a much needed tune up. One day per month is not enough to complete everything we have planned before snow season, so work continues during the week as well. If you work weekends or are not available, please get in touch with us if you would like to help out during the week.

As usual, PPE will be required including hard hats, long sleeve shirts, gloves, work shoes/boots, long pants, etc. We will have tools on site to use so don’t worry about bringing your own. Let's continue our strong momentum of building new trails with another big turnout!

This trail is been in bad shape for a while, we are looking into open the trail back in service, we need to cut thru many down trees, cut brush and bushes, clean debris, and rebuilt water bars, we are going to need a small army, please join us.

***Willow Creek Workday Moved to Sunday, March 20th***

Due to inclement weather forecast to arrive on Saturday and intensify throughout the day, we will be moving the Willow Creek workday to this Sunday, March 20th instead of Saturday as previously planned. This will make the workday much more enjoyable and allow us to take advantage of the moisture from the storm to make substantial improvements to the trail. Please see below for additional details:

Where: Meet at the Pines Resort upper parking lot, we will carpool to the trail from there.

When: Sunday March 20th, be ready to go by 8:30 AM

Lunch provided by YSGTC featuring Alviso's Catering (Tacos!!!) @ 1:30 PM

We will be meeting at the Forks parking lot at 8 AM. Tools such as loppers, rakes, and shovels will be useful so please bring them if you have them. Also, personal PPE is required. This includes long sleeves and pants, boots, gloves, and safety helmets. If you plan on attending, please click on the link below to register.
